Film ‘The Impossible’ (12A)

Starring Ewan McGregor: 2012

This is the true story of a family of five who were swept away by the 2004 boxing day tsunami in the Indian Ocean, and suffered terribly, but not as much as many eventually. It is a story well told in this film, and demonstrates the full extent of the destruction in a single area. The family story is used as a means to convey the horror. As opposed to a documentary, which can become too much to take in. Another, and very worthwhile, view of the tragic events.

Could someone like Ewan McGregor call me friend? No. As his friend Charley Boorman said it would ruin his career. Let this be a lesson to prostitutes everywhere. Your next of kin are equally destroyed. Make a film about it Ewan?
