I Don’t Own A Guitar, But I Looked At New Guitars On The Internet:
This is where the suicides come into teen music. Acoustic guitars, limited editions, £3,000 plus. As played by ? (look for yourselves)
The musicians don’t buy them. They are given them to lay out on the stage around them for advertising purposes. Any fool parent who pays that much for a chunk of wood deserves to be driven to suicide. Tell your children that their idols can’t play either, and it’s all a sequencer driven con. (The great Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle the Sex Pistols called it, and one was deliberately driven mad by BIG BIRD and the U.K. media for saying it. They were silenced)
The Chinese and Japanese turn out far better instruments by the thousand for less than a £100, but that is too simple for the British. They want paid a fortune for a limited edition of less than a hundred instruments. Easy money for little effort.
No jobs for the unemployed either now though. Why do we let them away with it?
Note: I don’t have ANY musical instruments at present. (Unless there’s a recorder hiding with my bathroom scales and Hoover etc?)
