Great Plagues Today And Every Day

Great Plagues Today And Every Day:

They speak about the plagues of long ago, and cite them as a good reason to have the National Health Service.

Every day on the streets of Elgin I see people who are dying. All over Britain every day those people, slightly more advanced in their illnesses, die in far greater numbers than any plague ever killed. They die in secret, and in silence, because they are told to. Every day they are replaced with new victims.

“It is a clean solution to a growing problem,” a man who makes such decisions once told me. There is no problem except to his potential income. He’d be dead of old age himself now, and presume in hell.
