Book ‘Gangster Squad’ By Paul Lieberman

Book ‘Gangster Squad’ By Paul Lieberman:

About a feeble attempt by police to eradicate organized crime in Los Angeles for decades.

Why were they not successful? (It would be a joke to suggest they were)

They wanted the ‘Mr Bigs’, but if the supposed ‘Mr Bigs’ died after years of harassment and with no evidence against them, nothing changed. Time and millions of dollars of real money wasted.

It is the minnows who are the power, and the brains, behind organized crime. Mr Bigs are a myth.

The minnows are: The junkies, dealers, loan sharks, police, newspaper reporters, film studios, musicians  Etc.

They should be the targets for putting in prison. Organized crime can only be eradicated in that way.

I’ll give you an example you will all understand:

There is an architect, and he designs a bridge, house, building, railway, road or other. When he hands over the plans to the minnows in the various trades, it is their brains that overcome all the obstacles, and get the job done. (Except in China, where it is guaranteed to fall down again. They should ignore the experts I think)

Now for heavens sake, and your own sakes, throw the book at the minnows of organised crime. All of them. They are not poor innocents caught up in it. They are it. They make money from it. Including T.V. studios.

Film ‘Traffic’ got it wrong. It is right to make war even with your own family, not wrong, as Michael Douglas’s character said. Or you’ll get nowhere.

There is a film of this book?
